A Taiwanese film director who cannot speak French is invited to Paris to make a film based on the story of Salome. Cultural dissonance and issues of translation all start to play havoc with his capacity to deliver on the film. Partly comedy, partly personal reflections on a director´s creativity and partly a tribute to the French New Wave, with dazzling images and a well chosen cast of Jean-Pierre Léaud, Fanny Ardent and Laetitia Casta are just a few of the qualities of this avant-garde spectacle.
