All of your Stars are but Dust on my Shoes

The light/dark dichotomy is not just a metaphor apt to be used by Star Wars fans, but a way for Haig Aivazian to analyze two components whose public administration can be transformed into a policing tool — from gas lanterns to blackouts and curfews.

“Electricity is the nerve of life”, a reflection here explored in a route of light and darkness which deepens this essential medium, ranging through history, economics and politics. An amalgam of disparate images and sounds move in an associative chain of foundations and exploitations which analyse the medium and the electric system. A policing tool, euphoria, fear - an analytic-eye film in the light, through which one goes in a vibrant sensory intake. (Carlota Gonçalves)
