IndieJunior – Strá … tum … pschh, two drummers compose a live soundtrack

Tum … tum … pschh … pschh … strá … tum … pschh. On stage, a huge screen and two incredible drums. While the short films are screened, Quim Albergaria and Ricardo Martins bring music to the images, capturing the rhythm of the stories and reinventing all of the plot points. A unique dialogue between film and music, in a magical event for small and audiences alike.

Quim Albergaria, drummer of Paus, is used to the demands of the young audiences: he has a daughter to whom he brings music every single day. And Ricardo Martins, a drummer who has played with numerous bands, currently Pop dell’Arte, brings his wide experience to the table. The event opens with Chess Fever (performed by Vsevolod Pudovkin and Nikolai Shpikovsky) an peculiar Soviet comedy about the Russians’ obsession with the board game, followed by Cops, one of Buster Keaton’s most thrilling chase films. Two silent masterpieces to rewatch or discover while two drums play. Tum … tum … pschh … pschh … strá … tum … pschh. The screening is about to start.
