Zamarin Wahdat's graduation short film is a rarity in German fiction cinema, which is used to not representing or reflecting (the experience of) migrant people in its society. When a bubble of innocence is first burst in the life of 8-year-old Kati, her relationship with her father and the world around her experiences a turning point. Bambirak is an invitation to think upon the challenges that can exist between a first and a second generation of immigration. (Ana David)
