Selected projects for the Portuguese Film Fund and new industry partnership announced

The eight projects selected for the 2020 edition of the Portuguese Film Fund, a complementary aid aimed at the post-production of Portuguese films, are already known, with dates confirmed for 29 – 31 August. IndieLisboa also announces a new partnership with Cine Cerca, a scriptwriting residency that aims to accompany Francophone and Lusophone filmmakers in the development of their projects.

The Portuguese Film Fund projects teams will appear before an international jury during IndieLisboa for a pitch that will help to define who will take home the awards, namely: financial aid of €1.500 (School of Arts, Catholic University of Portugal (Porto)), sound post-production services (Digital Mix Music and Image), €6.000 for the creation of original music (GDA Foundation), and colour grading services (The Yellow Color).

The selection is comprised of two features and six shorts currently in post-production:

The first phase took place in January 2020 and the second takes place in August 2020, both with the mentorship of Fabianny Deschamps and João Pedro Rodrigues. IndieLisboa joins the first edition of the initiative by integrating the four selected creators in its industry activities with the aim of promoting opportunities for co-production, financing, artistic collaboration and international circulation of their projects currently under development, namely:
