Applications for the Portuguese Film Fund 2020 are open (until March 13)

Applications are now open for the sixth edition of the Portuguese Film Fund 2020, an instrument to support the post-production of Portuguese films, created in 2011. The 2020 edition consists of the usual partners: IndieLisboa – Associação Cultural, Digital Mix Música e Imagem, GDA Foundation, The Yellow Color and Portugal Film – International Portuguese Film Agency.

Short or feature films can apply, regardless of genre (animation, documentary, experimental, fiction) when in the early stages of post-production, authored by Portuguese directors (or foreigners with permanent residence in Portugal) and with (co-) Portuguese production.

The prizes to be awarded unfold as follows:
a) Digital Mix Música e Imagem: sound post-production services for a feature film and a short film;
b) GDA Foundation: € 6,000 for the creation of original music, rewarding a feature film (€ 4,000) and a short film (€ 2,000), or alternatively three short films (each € 2,000);
c) The Yellow Color: two days of post-production studio image for a short film, with the technician(s) paid separately.

Until the deadline is reached, more prizes can be added. In this case, the projects already registered will be contacted regarding any additional need.

The deadline ends on the 13th of March and the selected projects will be announced on the 3rd of April.

The 8 selected projects will later be presented to an international jury, during the IndieLisboa festival (30 April – 10 May), in which the excerpts from the films are also shown in a session of the Lisbon Screenings.
