Screenplay is an album and a concert by acclaimed composer, musician and producer John Parish, also known for his work with PJ Harvey, Eels, Giant Sand, Rokia Traoré or Aldous Harding (who produced his debut album Party, considered one of the best of 2017), among others. For the first time in Portugal, the John Parish film-concert, Screenplay, will be presented at Hard Club in Porto, on May 3rd at 21h00, and in Lisbon at Culturgest GA, on May 4th at 21h00, as part of IndieLisboa’s programme.
The concert features Parish, along with musicians Marta Collica, Giorgia Poli, Jean-Marc Butty and Jeremy Hogg, and a projection of film excerpts, some of them with an intimate connection to the history of the festival. The films presented are L’enfant d’en haut (Ursula Meier, 2012), Little, Black Spiders (Patrice Toye, 2012), The Farmer’s Wife (2004), Waterhouse (Jennifer Houlton, 2004), Plein sud (Sebastien Lifshitz, 2009), Nowhere Man (Patrice Toye, 2008), Waltz (Norbert Ter Hall, 2006), Water (Jennifer Houlton, 2004) and Rosie (Patrice Toye, 1998)
