The Portuguese designer and illustrator Bráulio Amado, currently living in New York, is the author of the image of the 15th edition of IndieLisboa.
About his proposal, Bráulio Amado says that “the concept of identity is the goal – reinvent the festival ‘s logo and icon in order to explore a new visual language”.
In the 2018 edition, which takes place between April 26 and April 6 May, “the raven appears in an abstract way as a kind of marking or rip on something minimal, and formal, which is how I see IndieLisboa in the cinema scene in Portugal.”
An “assiduous spectator” of IndieLisboa until the moment he moved to New York, Bráulio Amado thus sums up the challenge for creating the image for this 15th edition of the international film festival: «To have been invited to work on the image of 2018 it’s an honour with an extra dose of longing for Lisbon and the festival.”
