It is with deep sadness that IndieLisboa receives the news of the death of Hans Hurch, director of the Viennale. Hans Hurch has been a friend to IndieLisboa since its inception and the Viennale, under his direction for two decades, was many times an inspiration to our team. In 2012 we had the pleasure of celebrating with the Viennale its five decades of existence, presenting a joint programme. We regret the loss of the programmer and director of one of the most interesting film festivals in the world and we hope that the spirit of his work remains among us.
