A film festival desires versatility and IndieLisboa, in comparison with past editions, expands the exhibition room walls: it’s not only important to show the scheduled films, it’s also fundamental to encourage conversations and discussions about the films and the cinematographic universe. The regular panels and debates of LisbonTalks start at the very beginning of the festival, on the 27th of April (Sunday) with a seminary moderated by Paulo Viveiros, Cinema in Extended Field Production, Development, Exhibition & Case Study.
Amplifying the festival’s core, in 2014 we increase the promotion of Portuguese cinema as we present Portugal Film Screenings, exhibitions of unreleased Portuguese films, exclusive for international guests: potential buyers, distributors, journalists and programmers of international festivals (from the 25th to 27th of April in Cinema São Jorge). Bear in mind that during the festival many invited filmmakers will be available during the Q&A’s where they’ll discuss their films.
