The universe of music will also be focused on in the Director’s Cut section, with the screening of Minute Bodies: The Intimate World of F. Percy Smith, directed by Stuart Staples, lead singer of Tindersticks. Starting from archive images of F. Percy Smith and taking advantage of Stuart’s musical experience, the film builds a silent narrative which allows for new readings of the original work done by the British pioneer documentary filmmaker. The film’s score is created by the Tindersticks themselves, in collaboration with Thombas Belhorn and Christine Ott. The director of the film, Stuart Staples, will be in Lisbon to introduce the premiere of his film.
The full IndieMusic program will soon be announced. IndieLisboa takes place between 3 – 14 May. Tickets will be sold starting April 19th.
