IndieLisboa will end with its eyes set on the future.
After Mia Hansen-Løve last year was the Independent Heroine at IndieLisboa, she returns with her new film: L’Avenir. And what a return, as she won the best director award at the Berlin Festival with this latest work. If Eden was a picture of a young generation lost between music and drugs, L’Avenir is about a similar crisis but that of an older woman. Isabelle Huppert plays a philosophy professor who seeks to find herself after the mother’s death, the betrayal of her husband and a bout of professional stagnation.
The Closing Screening will take place on May 1st at 21h30, at Culturgest. Before the screening, the IndieLisboa 2016 Awards Ceremony will take place.
