There is a Portuguese project among those selected for the Euro Connection Co-production Forum at the Clermont Ferrand Festival. Producer Terratreme and director João Vladimiro – now preparing a new short film project, From the Cradle to the Grave – were chosen by the Euro Connection jury among dozens of applications for the competition. 15 selected projects will be presented during the pitching sessions of the forum on February 9th and 10th 2016, at one of the most important short film markets in the world. Portuguese producer Animals AVPL will also be invited to the forum, representing the project In Between the Shadows, by Alice Guimarães and Mónica Santos.
In previous years Portuguese projects such as Rafa, directed by João Salaviza – which then won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlinale – Abyss, directed by Leonor Noivo, or Christmas Wrapping Paper, directed by José Miguel Ribeiro were selected for the pitching forum.
