Estreia Internacional de Aqui, em Lisboa

Here in Lisbon – Episodes of a city, directed by Denis Côté, Dominga Sotomayor, Gabriel Abrantes and Marie Losier and produced by IndieLisboa, was an adventure that began more than two years ago and that now begins its international journey. The film was selected for Rio International Film Festival – and had its international premiere on October 3rd. Here in Lisbon was also selected for the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma in Montréal, having its first screening on October 11th and for Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema in Salvador, shown at the International Competition. An auspicious international debut!

Here in Lisbon was produced to celebrate IndieLisboa’s 10th anniversary, an invitation addressed to four of the directors who left their mark on the festival’s history and who created some of the most iconic independent films: Denis Côté (Les États Nordiques, 2006; Carcasses, 2010; Curling, 2011; Bestiaire, 2012; Que ta joie demeure, 2014 and the most awaited Boris sans Béatrice), Dominga Sotomayor (Grand Prize winner in 2012 with De jueves a domingo), Gabriel Abrantes (Olimpia I and II, 2008; A History of Mutual Respect, 2010; Palácios de Pena, 2011, among others) and Marie Losier (Grand Prize winner in 2011 with The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye).

Four different views that cross genres and languages – fiction, documentary, fables and absurd comedies – all of them free and bold gestures.
