Every year, Clermont Ferrand Film Festival (France) – one of the biggest film markets in Europe – hosts Euro Connection, a short film co-production forum culminating in the pitching of the selected projects. This excellent opportunity for producers/filmmakers planning to shoot a short film will be held in February next year. Submissions have to meet the following requirements: the film’s duration is under 40 minutes, the producer has already secured support or a partnership (no minimum amount), the production/shooting will begin after May 2016 and the producer/director needs to establish a co-production with a European partner.
Each selected projected will be presented by the producer/director at the pitching sessions that will take place on February 9th and 10th 2016. Individual meetings between producers and professionals participating in the forum will take place on February 10th.
Producers must submit their short film projects until October 23rd to national representatives. In Portugal, festivals representing Euro Connection are IndieLisboa and Curtas Vila do Conde. An international jury will choose the 15 participants in the co-production forum.
