Novidades para os mais novos – marque já na sua agenda o IndieJúnior 2015

Over 3.000 students have already guaranteed their place at IndieJunior screenings, which will take place from April 23rd to May 3rd at Culturgest and Cinema São Jorge theatres, and we already have two sold out screenings!

Every year, IndieJunior relies on its partners to organize the biggest film party children have ever seen. In 2015 we rekindle old ties and start some new friendships. We continue to rely on the support of the Education Department at Culturgest, Lisbon Municipal Libraries, Berardo Museum and Passaporte Escolar, to help us create a better festival.

This year there is a substantial change in IndieJunior, related to films selected for high-school students. Over the past few years, we have been dedicating greater attention to the integration of these screenings, and rethinking the role of films in the education of adolescents. We came to the conclusion that it is important to extend the program of IndieLisboa to this public, thereby withdrawing high-school oriented screenings from the IndieJunior section and allowing them to have a specific life within the general program of the festival. These films will be discussed separately with each school/class, addressing the most interesting themes for spectators reaching pre-adulthood. The first film selected for IndieJunior 2015 is Le petit Cousteau, by Jakub Kouril, an underwater adventure in a city full of snow – an animation that pays homage to Jacques Cousteau.
