November 2001. First evening of London is Dead, a Morrisey and Smiths tribute night at Fais Do-do, in Los Angeles. A large crowd of happy fans is dancing and singing around to the sound of the Manchester based band and its front man, Moz. The crowd average age must be 20-years-old and they are, in their majority, Hispanics and Latinos. Twenty years after the Smiths ending, how can one explain this surprising cult based in the eastern suburbs of LA? Their young admirers speak at length about their admiration, their relation with its music and their lives.
