(EN) Portuguese films awarded at IndieLisboa will be presented at Viennale

Three Portuguese films that were awarded at IndieLisboa’11 will be screened in this edition of the Viennale.

Co-directed by João Pedro Rodrigues and João Rui Guerra da Mata, Red Dawn that was granted the PIXEL BUNKER Award for Best Portuguese Short Film at IndieLisboa’11 will be presented at the Viennale on October 28th.

Liberty, by Gabriel Abrantes and Benjamin Crotty, gave Abrantes the RESTART Award for Best Portuguese Short Film Director and it will be screened on the 23rd.

The feature film Red Line, by José Filipe Costa, winner of the CAIXA GERAL DE DEPÓSITOS Award for Best Portuguese Feature Film is also part of the Austrian film festival programme and it will be presented on October 22nd and 23rd.

It’s the Earth not the Moon, the documentary by Gonçalo Tocha, whose work in progress version was also screened at this year’s edition of IndieLisboa was selected to the Viennale and will be presented on October 21st and 22nd.

The directors José Filipe Costa and Gonçalo Tocha will attend the festival. IndieLisboa will be represented by Nina Veligradi, festival programmer, who will be in Vienna to prepare the Portuguese festival 2012 edition. The Viennale, one of the most reputed festivals in Europe, will take place in six venues of the Austrian city from October 20th to November 2nd.
