IndieLisboa has published a book dedicated to documentary filmmaker Heddy Honigmann titled Listening to stories.
Heddy Honigmann is one of the most important directors in contemporary documentary cinema and IndieLisboa presented an unprecedented full retrospective of her work in 2010. This tribute originated Listening to stories.
The book includes the analysis of film critics specialized with the Honigmann’s work, such as Hans Beerekamp, journalist and independent curator at Dutch Filmmuseum (EYE Film Institut Netherlands), John Anderson, regular film critic for Variety, Washington Post and Newsday and Silvio Grasselli, festival and retrospective curator, filmmaker, lecturer and collaborator with Italian film and communication magazines, websites and festivals.
Listening to stories also gathers texts from other authors: Caroline Barraud, Filipa Rosário, Ester Gould and Joel Calero. Listening to stories is a bilingual edition in Portuguese and English and it will be available at IndieLisboa’s online store soon.
