The 67th Locarno Film Festival starts in less than a month and the mission of two of our selection committe programmers, Catarina Cabral and Mafalda Melo, is to bring the good stuff back to IndieLisboa. The full line-up will be unveiled in a few days, but the american production among the selection is already causing a stir. The festival already revealed two of its crown jewels, Alex Ross Perry’s Listen Up Philip and Joel Potrykus’ Buzzard. Two american enfant terribles whose previous films were selected at IndieLisboa. The festival pays homage to Agnès Varda, Victor Erice, among others, and to Titanus studio, the Italian dream factory, a retrospective that will bring the giallo master Dario Argento with the film L’uccello dalle piume di cristallo to the Piazza Grande (or so we hope).
