The last IndieJunior weekend for families

And we’re going to the second – and last – weekend with lots of films and activities for the whole family at IndieJunior.

Starting today, the Baby Cinema sessions, the festival’s cinema for babies aged 4 to 30 months, will start again, and will go until Sunday offering a first immersive cinema experience for the youngest of all. And at 6pm, at Culturgest, the Film+Debate: What can we do today to project the history of the future?, in partnership with the National Arts Plan, brings to conversation and reflection global warming and the climate crisis, the impacts they have on biodiversity and the planet, how we can help avoid them and what we can do today to project the history of the future. Entrance is free upon registration at this link.

The cinema sessions are varied, and the first one starts tomorrow at Cinema Ideal at 11.30am. The session Coloring the World is aimed at children from 6 years old and brings 6 small and very special films. At 3 p.m., at São Jorge Cinema, the session Childhood Memories (3 years old and over) will bring back very special films that made history in the 18 editions of IndieJunior. The last screening takes place on Sunday (8), at 2.30 p.m., at São Jorge Cinema. The session Discovering Who We Are will screen, for older audiences – from 12 years old and upwards – films dealing with relevant issues at this stage of adolescence.

This weekend’s workshops all take place on Sunday, for kids aged 6 and up. The two sessions of Criar com Todos, designed and run by art educator Ana Teresa Magalhães, are sold out, but there’s a waiting list. There are still places for the workshop Sounds that Tell Stories, designed and run by Baileia – Artes Infâncias, at 15h30 and 17h00. More information about the parallel activities on this link.

See you soon 🙂
