Cineclube IndieLisboa session today at University of Coimbra

The activities of Cineclube IndieLisboa starts today with a session at Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente (TAGV), part of University of Coimbra, participating of the serie “Sessões do Carvão – O Cinema Falado” (in English, Sessions of Carvão, The Spoken Cinema), produced by Faculdade de Letras da UC (Curso de Estudos Artísticos e Laboratório de Investigação e Práticas Artísticas/LIPA) and TAGV and coordinated by Sérgio Dias Branco and Luísa Lopes.

“Colo” (2017), a film by Tereza Villaverde, filmmaker but still screenwriter and producer, and also one of the greatest names in 90’s generation of released portuguese filmmakers, will be exhibited there. She is author of a really personal filmography and known for themes as childhood and youth, the inadequacy and difficulty of interpersonal communication. Before making three notable feature films presented in the greater film festivals – “A Idade Maior” (1991), “Três Irmãos” (1994) and “Os Mutantes” (1998), She worked as actress, set designer, screenwriter, assistant director and set-up assistant in many productions.

The talk after the film will be with Mariana Liz, ICS-UL investigator and editor of Portugal’s Global Cinema (I.B. Tauris).
