The film-concert of the musician John Parish, Screenplay, is presented for the first time in Portugal in an initiative of IndieLisboa, in collaboration with Culturgest, and the Hard Club.
Screeplay takes place at the Hard Club in Porto on May 3 at 9:30 pm and in Lisbon at the Culturgest Grand Auditorium on May 4 at 9:30 pm, integrated into IndieLisboa programme.
Tickets (€ 15) are on sale starting today, in the concert halls and on Ticketline.
Screenplay is an album and a concert by acclaimed composer, musician and producer John Parish, a regular contributor to PJ Harvey and also known for his work with Eels, Giant Sand, Rokia Traoré or Aldous Harding (of whom produced his debut album Party, considered one of the best of 2017), among others.
The concert features Parish, along with musicians Marta Collica, Giorgia Poli, Jean-Marc Butty and Jeremy Hogg, and a splash of film excerpts, some of them with an intimate connection to the history of IndieLisboa programme.

Parish composes for cinema, theatre and contemporary dance since the late 1990s. He has written the music for numerous films including Rosie (Patrice Toye, 1998), for which he received the Special Jury Prize at the Biennial of Bonn of Music for Cinema and Television. He also composed the music of L’enfant d’en haut (Ursula Meier), winner of the Berlinale Silver Bear in 2012.
