Four months prior to the festival, the image of the 14th IndieLisboa is revealed. Created by the designer and illustrator Sonja Câmara, it is based on an overlap: the image represents, on the one hand, the city of Lisbon and, on the other, independent and author cinema.
According to the designer, “the squares, the arrangement of the elements in blue color are the perfect and simpler personification of the city, the river, the tile panels and their facades. Iconographic forms as we find them, for example, in the work of Maria Keil. The vintage aspect comes not only from Lisbon and its quality as a city of ancestors but it is also a reinterpretation of an entire era where independent cinema has acquired its status of subversion and activism. It comes directly from futurism and constructivism, making a narrative trip ending in the influence of posters and publicity of the 60s and 70s, effective and economic in its representations.
