After revealing the prey and the hunter, we keep moving forward towards the completion of the map of screenings and the schedule for 2016. We already know for sure some details – the usual ones: there will be more than 250 films to watch in 12 days, spread across four venues. We’re back with the same sections: International Competition, composed of first, second and third new original works; National Competition, which gathers Portuguese feature-length and short films, giving them their world premiere; Silvestre, which presents exceptional pieces of work by young directors and acclaimed authors; Brand New, composed of several films by young directors who are taking their first steps in film directing; IndieJunior, a mini festival dedicated to the young viewers; Independent Hero, the retrospective section; IndieMusic, with concert films and documentaries about artists or cult bands; Director’s Cut, a section which includes documentaries about cult directors and actors; Mouth of Madness, with films walking fearlessly on the edge of the cliff, in festive demonstrations of challenge; and the Special Screenings, which will bring many surprises. The complete program will be available on the site, on the 22nd of March.
