It is a pleasure to be welcomed with open arms at international film festivals that fight for an alternative cinema exhibition in their countries. Portuguese cinema continues to receive the attention it deserves by international programmers and audience, a cause to which we like to contribute. It is time for the films The Mesh and the Circle, directed by Francisco Queimadela and Mariana Caló (Aesthetica Short Film Festival), André’s Eyes, directed by Antonio Borges Correia (Gijón International Film Festival) and Driving Lesson, directed by André Santos and Marco Leão (L’Alternativa Barcelona, Sleepwalkers International Short Film Festival, Estonia) continue its path throughout November. Also in November, China Women’s Film Festival will be screening The Revolution Hunter, directed by Margarida Rêgo, and Swallows, directed by Sofia Bost, Leuven International Short Film Festival will show Tow Truck Driver, directed by Jorge Cramez, as well as Swallows, and Asiana Short Film Festival will show October’s Over, directed by Karen Akerman and Miguel Seabra Lopes.
