Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema, held annually at Glauber Rocha Cinema in Salvador, Bahia, has reached the end of its 11st edition making it possible to announce the winners of IndieLisboa prize, awarded to a feature film and a short film from the national competition of the festival. Kill Me Please, directed by Anita Rocha da Silveira and Quintal, directed by André Novais Oliveira, are the films awarded by IndieLisboa and thus the first films announced for the next festival programme. We have found in them two common traits that helped us to reach a decision: these films are both unusual and created by authors whose body of work deserves special attention. And we were not the only ones to state it – Panorama’s juries also awarded both films (Kill me please – best feature film, national competition; Quintal – special jury prize, national competition)
