This year’s Torino Film Festival will also support the promotion of Portuguese cinema abroad by selecting two works: Here in Lisbon, directed by Denis Côté, Dominga Sotomayor, Gabriel Abrantes and Marie Losier will be shown in the Waves section of the festival and Gypsophila, directed by Margarida Leitão, will be shown at the festival’s documentary competition, having its international premiere. In Gypsophila film director Margarida Leitão looks at the life of her grandmother through the memories and hesitant words of two people who love each other and share the same blood. Here, in Lisbon, the collective film produced on the occasion of IndieLisboa’s tenth anniversary, will very soon have its national premiere.
