In 2015, IndieLisboa will have the same jury for feature films and short films in its National Competition section, thus bringing together different authors, genres, and themes, in different formats, that still make Portuguese film a land of creative freedom where the international film community continues to find some of its most inspiring talents. Besides four feature films that bring together family stories and our country’s past and present history (new films by António Borges Correia, Catarina Mourão, Márcio Laranjeira, and Margarida Leitão), IndieLisboa’s short film selection will show sixteen films: new works by João Pedro Rodrigues and João Rui Guerra da Mata, André Santos and Marco Leão, Manuel Mozos, Filipa Reis and João Miller Guerra (filmmakers who’ve already presented previous works at the festival), as well as newcomers Tiago Rosa-Rosso, Guillaume Pazat and Martim Ramos, André Ruivo, and others. In 2015, new Portuguese cinema will show everyday, between April 27 and May 2, at Cinema São Jorge, in this year’s National Competition.
