Cinéma du Réel’s last edition (one of the biggest international documentary film festivals) has given two prizes to films that were included in IndieLisboa 2015’s selection. Rabo de Peixe, by Joaquim Pinto and Nuno Leonel, has received the Potemkine Prize (for DVD distribution), while Jean-Gabriel Périot’s Une jeunesse allemande was awarded the SCAM International Prize. Joaquim Pinto and Nuno Leonel’s director’s cut version of Rabo de Peixe will be presented in IndieLisboa’s Director’s Cut section, while Jean-Gabriel Périot’s film was selected for this year’s International Competition.
