Every year IndieLisboa strengthens its bonds with other festivals and cultural institutions all over the world and invests in new partnerships that allow audiences from other countries to get to know IndieLisboa’s films. Since 2013, IndieLisboa has partnered up with two of the most stimulating film festivals in Brazil, Semana dos Realizadores do Rio de Janeiro http://www.semanadosrealizadores.com.br/ and Panorama Internacional Coisa de Cinema de Salvador da Bahia https://www.facebook.com/CoisadeCinemaPanorama. In 2014, these partnerships will be renewed: once again IndieLisboa will attribute a prize at Panorama to a film of the Brazilian Competition, which will be screened at IndieLisboa’15 (last year, this prize was given to Pinta, by Jorge Alencar). At Semana dos Realizadores, IndieLisboa will not only have the privilege to see first-hand the most recent Brazilian films but also show a programme of Portuguese films during the festival, by directors Gabriel Abrantes, Filipa Reis e João Miller Guerra, João Salaviza, João Vladimiro and Salomé Lamas.
