The fourth IndieJunior activity in partnership with Culturgest Educational Service will happen on 28th April, Saturday. This initiative is aimed to the general audience and has a starting point the presence of the known French film director Sophie Roze. Based on her her work, she will talk about the different film methodologies applied in order to increase the artistic and the cultural training of the younger audience.
Sophie Roze debut in Portugal happened two years ago with the film Les Escargots de Joseph (IndieJunior’10) and, this year, she will present a new short film entitled L’oiseau Cachalot: a story staring a girl from the city, Lena, and a quite special bird. In this combined IndieJunior and Culturgest Educational Service session, the film director will screen her films using them as the basis for reflection and sharing of knowledge. A privileged space to exchange ideas will be created and it will surely result in an interesting debate on the strategies and benefits of including cinema in education.
This activity has free admittance and will happen in IndieLisboa’s debate room (opposite the Culturgest Grand Auditorium) at 17h15. The submissions can be done by e-mail: culturgest.servicoeducativo@cgd.pt. Considering the film director nationality, the meeting will be held in English and French.
