IndieLisboa’10 highlights Portuguese cinema, with 14 short films and 5 feature films in the International Competition section and a total of 40 films screened. Pelas Sombras by Catarina Mourão and Sem Companhia by João Trabulo are two must-see documentaries in the competition. Pelas Sombras will be screened at 6.30 p.m., at Culturgest’s Small Auditorim and Sem Companhia at 10 p.m., at Culturgest’s Large Auditorium.
From the International Competition, Au Voluer by Sarah Leonor will be screened at Cinema Londres (6.30 p.m.), 10 to 11 by Pelin Esmer at City Classic Alvalade Cinema (6.15 p.m.), C’est déjà l’été by Martijn Maria Smits at Culturgest (9.45 p.m.) and Castro by Alejo Moguillansky at Londres Cinema (9.45 p.m.).
IndieMusic will present Musicbox Club Docs ‚ Terrakota, a portrait of the band by director Paulo Prazeres, at Cinema São Jorge, 7 p.m.. Villalobos, by Romuald Karmakar, is a documentary about Chile DJ and music producer Ricardo Villalobos, and will also screen at São Jorge, at 9.45 p.m.. At midnight begins Strange Powers ‚ Stephin Merritt and The Magnetic Fields by K. Fix and G. O’Hara, at São Jorge Cinema (Screening Room 3).
As Horas do Douro by António Barreto and Joana Pontes is one of the Special Sessions of the festival and will be presented at Culturgest’s Large Auditorium, 7 p.m.. The directors will be available for a Q&A conversation after the session.
