Werner Herzog – to whom IndieLisboa paid a tribute in the Independent Hero section in the last edition – will have two of his most recent films exhibited at the festival: Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call – New Orleans (with Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes) and My son my son what have ye done? (produced by David Lynch and starring Willem Dafoe and Chloë Sevign).

Another well know director who also was honored at the Independent Hero section in 2008, Johnnie To, will have once more a film exhibited at IndieLisboa. This time, he brings us his last film The Vengeance, with the French actor and singer Johnny Halliday.

Napoli Napoli Napoli, directed by Abel Ferrara, is another confirmed film in this year programme. More than a portrait of Naples, this documentary makes an incursion in the Italian city through the eyes of a group of women living in a state prison at Pozzuolli.

Last but not the least, the awarded film at Venice Film Festival, Lebanon, about the invasion of Lebanon on the summer of 1982 will be part of the emergent cinema section. The Israeli director, Samuel Maoz, will be at Lisbon to present the sessions.
