(EN) Lisbon Screenings: spreading Portuguese film

Desculpe, este conteúdo só está disponível em Inglês (Eua).

Lisbon Screenings are going to show, from April 25th to 27th, an attractive selection of new independent Portuguese films to international buyers, festivals’ programmers and journalists invited exclusively to this sessions.

Launched in 2006, the Lisbon Screenings is a parallel event to IndieLisboa. The sessions are exclusively destined to professionals and they intend to spread and increase the visibility of Portuguese cinema.

Portuguese recent films (even if they don’t belong to the official programme) of different genres (fiction, animation, documentary, experimental) will be presented in a special selection.

The intention is to take advantage of the synergies and to create the right conditions to the visibility of the Portuguese cinema, concentrating in the same place films, producers, directors and international deciders, promoting meetings between both. This way, Lisbon Screenings reduce the difficulty that each producer has to promote his film to potential buyers or programmers.

In this Lisbon Screening’s edition, Ireland is the invited country, presenting a selection of its most recent and stimulating independent short films. This session is organized in collaboration with the Cork Film Festival and with the participation of the Irish Film Board.
