The 11th edition of IndieLisboa РInternational Independent Film Festival will take place from April 24th to May 4th, 2014, in Lisbon, Portugal. IndieLisboa focuses on the very best of independent cinema from all around the world, giving the festival a distinctive identity. The programme contains the following official sections: International Competition; Observatory; Emerging Cinema; Brand New; World Pulse; IndieJunior and Independent Hero, plus three parallel sections, namely IndieMusic, Director´s Cut and Special Screenings.
The International Competition of the festival is for first and second films. The other competitive sections of the festival are Brand New (shorts from Portuguese New Authors), Indiejunior (shorts and features for children and youth) and World Pulse (documentaries that deal with contemporary issues). The Emerging Cinema and Observatory Sections are competing also for the audience award.
The festival showcases features, shorts, fiction, documentaries, animation and experimental works. Screenings take place in three of the most central and best-equipped film-theatres in Lisbon, and they attract an audience of 40,000+ annually. Because IndieLisboa is a privileged event to discover and promote new authors and new tendencies, we would like to invite you to submit your new films from 2013 and 2014.
