At the same time, in Screening Room 1 of Londres Cinema, Observatory Shorts 2 presents the fiction Music for One X-mas and Six Drummers by Johannes Stjärne Nilsson and Ola Simonsson, Animals for Animals by Tatu Pohjavirta and Mark Stahle, One Way or Another (Reflections of a Psykokiller) by Edgar Pêra, Love and Other Letters by Leonor Noivo, L’origine des langues by Nicolas Philibert and Kali, the Little Vampire by Regina Pessoa.
From the IndieMusic section, How to Act Bad by Dima Dubson will be screened at 6.45 pm, in São Jorge Cinema’s Screening Room 3. Dubson followed his friend Adam Green for two years, having access to all aspects of the extraordinary life, public and private, of this multi-faceted artist. I’ll raffle My Heart by Anna Rieper (7.15 pm, Manoel de Oliveira Screening Room, São Jorge Cinema) is a documentary about the romantic, sentimental and erotic Brazilian imaginary.
The National Competition Shorts 4 will be at Culturgest’s Grand Auditorium at 7 pm. At 7.15 pm, The Last of England by Derek Jarman represents the Focus: Happy Birthday Viennale – Five Decades in Five Films.
19h in Screening Room 1 of Londres Cinema, He Was a Giant With Brown Eyes by Eileen Hofer will be presented for the first time. Sabina leaves Switzerland and her mother to go to Azerbaijan, where her father and her sister live. At 9.30 pm, The Loneliest Planet by Julia Loktev will be at Culturgest’s Grand Auditorium. For Alex and Nica (Gael Garcia Bernal and Nani Furstenberg), passionate and engaged, everything is bright, colorful and objects around them have a vivacity so incredible that they look like toys. Everything is allowed. They are young and set out to discover the Caucasus Mountains, in Georgia. Screening at the same time, De Jueves a Domingo by Dominga Sotomayor will be at Londres Cinema, in Screening Room 1, and suggests a road movie amongst family. What could be the sharing of an intimate moment between the four is, however, tainted by the evidence that this will be their last time together.
Totem by Jessica Krummacher will be at Cinema Londres, starting 11.45 pm, in Screening Room 2. The Screening Room 1 will show, at midnight, Voie Rapide, Christophe Sahr’s first feature film, where the passion for cars and speed on the road absorbs the life of Alex, pushing him away from his wife Rachel and their daughter.
